Dreaming Atlas

When you create an account we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

When you record a dream we store the dream text, title, mood tags, date, and country you provide. We also store the AI analysis generated from your dream. This data is associated with your account and is only accessible by you.

When you opt in to contribute to the Atlas we store an anonymized record containing only: your country, the archetypal symbols identified, the dream theme, and the emotional tone. No dream text, no personal information, no user identifiers are stored in this record.

We will never sell your personal data or dream content to any third party.

We will never use your dreams to train AI models without your explicit written consent.

We will never show you advertisements.

We will never share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

The "Contribute to the Atlas" toggle is entirely optional. When enabled, an anonymized record — containing only country, symbols, theme, and tone — is added to our collective dreamscape database. This record contains no dream text, no account information, and cannot be traced back to you.

We may make anonymized aggregate statistical insights available to academic research institutions. This means a researcher could query "how many dreams from Japan contained the symbol water in Q1 2026" — but never access any individual dream or personal data.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account page. Deletion is permanent and immediate.

You may export your complete dream journal at any time from the Journal page.

If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@dreamingatlas.com.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. Your dream data is stored in a secure database with row-level security — meaning only you can access your dreams.

We use Supabase for database and authentication infrastructure, and Vercel for hosting. Both are SOC 2 compliant services.

By creating an account on Dreaming Atlas you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use Dreaming Atlas.

You own all dream content you create. By storing it on Dreaming Atlas you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of generating your AI analysis and, where you opt in, contributing anonymized data to the Atlas.

Dreaming Atlas is a personal journal and analysis tool. You agree not to use it to store content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform or its APIs.

Dream interpretations are generated by AI and are intended for personal reflection only. They are not a substitute for professional psychological or medical advice. Dreaming Atlas makes no claims about the accuracy or completeness of any dream analysis.

We aim to keep Dreaming Atlas available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms. Upon account deletion all your personal data is permanently removed from our systems.
